I
Robert Johnson Su rintenderg -of New Seabury, cont..
Mr. Johnson: As I said, this As to be a new-building with the piping as you sec
with the piping going into this system right here. And the piping from these ex
isting cottages is to be piped in here. I wa& talking with one of the DEXE repre.
sentatives one day and they said it would be up to the local conservation Commission
to make a determination as to whether, if in fact, any Notice of Intent should be
filed by Nancy Burden for this project here. I talked to the Building Inspectors
Mr. CollIns,..andI showed him the plan. He said that it was entirely a question for
the Conservation Commission and that I should approach them and possibly they could
give you a letter'- or, if maybe, in fact, the local Conservation Commission would
want a Determination of Applicability Form filled out. With that, I would say any
guidance you could offer me from there, I would appreciate it.
Pauline; What I can tell -you is what happened. Chris I uebl r, Chris Burden, Mr.
Stevens, Elizabeth Koulhaxis and myself were up there. There was digging of these
pipes in here. They were moving something. This is what DEQE objected to because
there was no Notice of Intent filed with the Conservation commission.
Mr. Johnson: Right.
Pauline: This has all been taken cage of. This is out of that range. This has. all
been completed here on -the piping?
Mr. Johnson: I don't think that they all have been completed.' (Shows where he thinks
one might be hooked up) As I .say, might be. I am not really positive on that. Maybe
these other two are not connected.
Pauline: Asks If there was another cottage there?
Mr. Johnson: This is Phase II. This plan is not showing the other phase.
Pauline: How does the Board f eel on that? Do you think that is up to the Board o
Health
W ne: This is a re-constructed cottage? This is Phase I. right?
Mr. Johnson: , That's correct.
Pauline 3 Phase ' I. is there, right.
Mr. Johnsons That is going 'b e a newly constructed building, 9C.
wa ne: It is there now, though?
4.
Mr. Johnson: No, the old building was torn down, We got a building permit and had
that demolished.
Dorothy: Water service doesn't cone under conservation* We do not have to consider
the public utilities when we make a determination. In other words, . the construc-
tion
on truc-
tion of that water main, in most cases, is a matter oif digging a trench.
Mr. Johnson: on these cottages here and on this parking area, the attorney for New
eabury, .dames Pye, last Wednesday mailed a Notice of Intent to,the local Conservatio
Commission, certified rail.with a return receipt requested. I believe he showed me a
return receipt. from DQE dated May-7. - But the Board here hasn't received that yet?
