t
Maus h op Village Condoniniums, cont.
Charless Spoils or soils that might be removed.
Mr. Johnson: I apt really glad you mentioned 'that because I did take that up a
our construction meeting with the Corporation members yesterday. I purposely
asked them if .they were aware that within the 100 foot jurisdiction area that
during construction any material such as, loam or sand .. . (did not finish what
he had planned to say) There is a pile of sand down there shows the location).
It is right on the banking which, I ars sure, many of you are aware of.
Paulinet DEQE was down and I was down there with them. They haven't removed that
yet.
Mr. Johnson: No, we haven't because I think we would wart some orders that we can
remove it now from the Commission. What 1 did tell the Corporation yesterday --
if they wanted me to take it upon myself to more or less be a watchdog for theCor-
poration, anything that was done during the stages of construction that would be a
detriment to the environment, I would take that job on. They were completely satis-
fied with that. So that would be -ray job from now on. If they wanted to do something
that wasn't at a hearing, it would be my responsibility to tell them that they can't
do that.
Charles: This will be Phase II. Do you anticipate that this work will be done with-
in a year?
Mr. Johnson: This work will probably be targeted for next Jure 1.
Charles: Our Orders are limited to a year unless extended.
Mr. Johnsons No problem. We will probably get it done within a year.
Wayne: The utilities will be one of the f first thins going in.
Charles: Yes
fir. Johnson: Would it proper, within this hearing# for some type oforder to come
from the Commission that we should remove- the existing loam piles and pile of sand
that are on the banking night now'
Pauline: Yes. For the simple reason, when the people from DEQE were down, and 'we
went over and viewed the site. There had been a pile there but nothing like they
viewed that day. The DQE representatives both spoke to Chris Iuebler and Chris
.Burden about it. They said to get the orders from the Conservation Commission be-
aus e they would have to file for this.
Charles: What would it involve to place those spoils outside of the 100 foot stor.
age area? .
Mr. *Johnson: I see no problems in finding other locations*
Pauline: Could you tell me if they have dome any cleaning up on the beach? Where
was all kinds of debris dumped over the side.
Mr. Johnson: When I first arrived on the scene with the Corporation, which was around
the third week in March, I saw that there were sand bags down there. I see those are
removed. As for any other beach cleaning, so to speak, I don't have any information
n that right now, If you would like me to find out, I certainly will.
