DeLoryo Chairperson <br /> Dorothy Studley, vice Chairperson <br /> Shirley Na,delman <br /> Peter Durmer <br /> The meeting was called to order promptly at 7:30 P.M. <br /> Violation <br /> First on the agenda, the Board met with Mr. W. J. Bowman regarding the torn <br /> owned land which he stripped on :.ashp e Neck _load. <br /> Pauline: Over .a year arro, the Natural Resources Officers was sent down to <br /> that area due to a report that trees were being cut down, Asks Mr, Bowman <br /> if he had anything to do with that? <br /> ?fir. Bowman; No, I had nothing to do with that at all. <br /> P . line: Then I received ano-ther ca.11 about the lot being cleared of brush. <br /> There were Four complaints in all. I went down and other members of the <br /> Board went down, <br /> Mr. Bowman: I stand firm on t6e fact that 1 ripped up bushes mt their roots, <br /> y intent was that it was a refuge area from other people and other neighbors, <br /> Sometimes they would use i a.s a gest station, When l cleared that lot, l <br /> took out 08.0v of the l son -ivy and 1 took at least ten ,wheel barrows of ashos, <br /> broken beer bottles, whiskey bottles, etc, out of that area. When I started <br /> to make some state-.ents to town counsel, he suggested that I go down arid take <br /> some pictures. These pictures 'T ere taken on July 28. If you will-look at <br /> these pictures, you will see that they have grown back much stronger.- <br /> Pauline: The idea is if everybody in the town walked across the street and cut <br /> property that did not belting to them .. . Let's say that l lived across the <br /> s treet from you and wanted the view and. I went over and cut your trees and shrubs <br /> down, how would you feel? You would be ready to sue, wouldn't you? <br /> Mr. Bowman: Yes. I agree with you 10QZ, The only thing is that the pror -t-+y i- <br /> in no manner at all damaged. Shows the Board pictures taken two years ago and <br /> points out the fact that there are no trees there. Points out where his lot <br /> Is. Now, the only place according to my notes that denotes conservation and <br /> recreation land is up on Jacaborn Road. Now shows the land in question and <br /> where there is a fence.
