The house was constructed in 196$ and it has frontage on the remaining beach belonging to l ew Se bu y. Where exists a very steep bank Which drops down to the beach. The proposal before theCom-mission tonight is to instal a riprap to provide protection to the base of the bluff. The area b - tweaen the douse and the top of the bluff is very densely vegetated, Mr. Goldberg has destroyed very little vegetation in the construction of his house and has ' maintained natural vegetation. There is also vegetation on the bluff. There is, however, a portion where there is a definite break in the slope. There has been erosion in the past. The proposal is to construct rip rap shore protection, Presents the Boar with a letter from New Seabury s architectural review committee stating that they approve such an installation. Basically, the rip rap when in. walled will encroach upon the beach slightly. The proposed bottom of the slope s out towards Nantucket Sound. It is like a peak. It varies between 4 and Feet on the existing bank. There will be returns at each lot line. For the com- mission's o - mision's information, there has been a stake set at each end of the proposed rip rap at the lot corner so that you can see the extent of the construction on the ground, As far as access to the beach, l propose that we come down to the west, I believe it is called Tide Watch.
