The members of the Board felt-. that <br /> it was not a conservation problem as it is a private road and it would be up to the land <br /> owners in the area to correct the problem. <br /> ,Public Hearin <br /> Carol Altshuler, 756 Fells Fond Road, Mashpee -- the intent is to improve existing steps <br /> to pond a.nd add wood float on Fells Pond. fir. Hildebrand was present to represent the <br /> applicp.nt. <br /> Mr. Hildebrand presented the Commission with a landscape plan dated July 29, 1982 for the <br /> property located t 756 Fells Pond d. He explained that the stairs will go from the <br /> back of the dec1c down to the pond. He explained that the back of the deck is about 75 ft. <br /> from the pond and about 20 ft. higher than the pond. Starting From the pond., h <br /> e told the <br /> Board, that there was a steep ascent of to ft, and then a small level area with another <br /> slight rise with the next series of steps which are about 4 feet and then another level <br /> area and then a 5 to 6 Foot rise up to the deck. The path wou"i.d be 6 x 6 inch timbers, <br /> 32 inches long. The intent is to put 2 to 3 timbers per riser with rebar orpipe into the <br /> ground 18 inches down with spikes holdLng them. The areas in between will be bark mulched <br /> The round objects on the plan are concrete steps, 18 inches in diameter, <br /> Dorothy asked what the floating dock would be made of" <br /> Mr. Hildebrand told the Commission that ebello's Nursery is not .ha.ndling the dock.
