Dr. MacDonald told the Commission that they currently lease loo feet of the beach with Makepiece along ohn's Pond. He said that he had concerns when the town buys the property if he ,coul d continue to -be able to lease the beach and if the coast guard would run it and then open it up to teen. angers at night or if lifeguards would be on the beach and the beach would e secured at night and what the use of the building woulde. The Natural Resource officer discussed the meeting which was recently held with the Coast Guard and told Dr. MacDonald that the beaux would be leased by the Coast Guard until. September. He said that discussion was made on whether to fi..I. the building uta or to level it. Chairperson Studley told Dr. MacDonald that there are no funds currently to maintain the beach and that an article would have to go before town meeting to operate it as a beach. She said that all the land contained in the purchase has to be opened up to the public. Another concern of Dr. MacDonald was who would be responsible for the road. He said that he assumed that the town would maintain it. Dr. MacDonald explained to the Commission that he owned 1100 feet on Moody Pond on the frontage and 300 to 400 feet on the front of John' s Pond. He said that they usually would put a dozer in the beach to keep it clean and graded. He explained that a cease and desist order was �issued by Mrs. De ory. He asked what they could do with regard to grading and cleaning the beach, He Mentioned that they have permits for them- raft and pier. He also mentioned that there are trees which need trimming and that trees have dropped into Moody Pond. Chairperson Studley suggested that he file a notice of intent to regrade and clean the beach and to maintain it. she said that selective cutting and trimming would not be a problem as they could do it without a filing. . MacDonald also asked the Board's support on an area of land which he plans to build a camping area which would be about 80 camp sites. He said that the present zoning by-law allows for the building 20 houses on the area* however, they would prefer to keep it natural. Discussion of Hagcatt Violation JackDoyle and Mr. James Haggatt met with the Commission in order to present a plan showing the cross section of the patio site at lot 8 Godfrey Road which is in violation of the order of conditions issued to fir. James Haggatt Mr. Doyle re-capped about the meeting on the site which was held about a week ago in which I rs, tudley, Mro Dur ter and Mrs, Dardano were present. He also re-capped on the events which took place since the original filing. The Board membersrevie end the plan submitted and the decision was to have the other board members review the plan before amending the order of condi- tions. ondi- tions. � Reguest for Extension - David K22p, 777 Fells Pond Road The Commission issued an extension for David Kopp' s property for one year from the date of the last exteniono Request for Compliance=- William Petersen, 294 Conn ass Circle The Commission reviewed a request for a compliance for work completed at 294 Compass Circle by Mr. Petersen. Wayne Tavares said that he would check the area to see if it had been complied with.
