v <br /> i <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of the Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act Committee,June <br /> 94 <br /> 2005 <br /> The Mashpee Americans with Disabilities Act Committee met Thursday, June 09, Zoo <br /> t Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 2. <br /> Members ers in attendance: <br /> t <br /> William Dundon <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> Robert Wooldridge <br /> The minutes of the May 12, 2005 meeting were reviewed and approved. <br /> Marilyn reported the selectmen had delayed the reappointment of town boards and <br /> conunittees until a future meeting. She also provided a letter to the selectmen from <br /> Deborah Downey expressing interest in serving on the conunittee. Ms. Downey is a <br /> Physical Thera ist Assistant and a certified Rehabilitation Counselor with extensive <br /> experience working with the disabled. We agreed to invite her to the July meeting. <br /> x <br /> I <br /> At Ma.rxilyn's suggestion, we agreed to provide copies of the Minutes of the May meeting <br /> to police Chief Collins and Helene Defoe, of the Mashpee Library as a courtesy. (They <br /> had participated in the meeting.) w <br /> The proposed change to the warrant item amending the parking bylaw was approved. <br /> Bob will run it by Town Counsel before it is forwarded to the selectmen. We also Will <br /> seek Torn Counsel's opinion regarding a possible need to submit a Tarrant item asking <br /> g g <br /> for acceptance of M.G.L. Chapter 40, Section 21. <br /> Mashpee Commons management's compliance with ADA requirements remains a topic <br /> of concern. Unfortunately,neither Richard nor Charlie could be present so it is not <br /> known ghat, if any, discussions have been held. However,there has been no sign o <br /> action to correct any of the deficiencies. Bill questioned if the permitting bodies include <br /> ADA compli <br />
