This was submitted for the warrant for the October Town Meeting
at the deadline just to beep the question under active consideration. However, it needs to
w
be discussed and coordinated with DPW before a final determination is made. If DPW
believes it is not appropriate as written,it will be withdrawn and a mutually agreeable
version prepared for a subsequent Town Meeting. Catherine Laurent will be inVited to
the August meeting to discuss the issue. We also will seek input from Tom Fudala.
Richard and Charlie have met with Mashpee Commons officials regarding access issues.
Commons' officials are reluctant to consider any of the issues until at least September,
after the busiest season. ale several problems can be put off to the off-season,we
believe public safety problems posed by some of the conditions are exacerbated during
the heavy traffic season and should be corrected as soon as possible.
