B hr an noted that with such extensive clearing and the length <br /> .of time necessary to re-establish effective root structures of new <br /> vegetation, the situation is precarious . The situation no only <br /> affects the lot but wash will be going don into the marsh. <br /> A silt barrier was discussed. Mr, Bergman has shorn conventional <br /> staked had` bales as an erosion prevention which h does not seen <br /> adequate to the Commission. lir. Bergman briefly discussed a <br /> commercial, - fabric salt barrier that is supported by stakes with <br /> the bottom edge of the fabric buried in the ground. <br /> There being no further questions , comments or discussion, the Chair- <br /> man declared the hearing - closed and stated' tha.t the proposal would <br /> be taken under advisement , <br /> C art ai Development Corp. (Holmes and McGrath, Inc. - Agent) <br /> o construct and maintain single-family dwelling with attached <br /> garage , deck, on-site sewage-disposal system, driveway,, and <br /> appurtenances . To grade , shape , loam, seed and landscape around <br /> t. <br /> the house and all disturbed areas , Continued hearing) <br /> Robert Bergman, representative for the Agent, presented plans . <br /> He . said, "The grading haat was Making place on Lot #10as_ part of <br /> the retaining wall construction on Lot #9 is the reason that we <br /> asked that Lot #10 be considered tonight so that you could get the <br /> Over-a11 picture ." He said that there will be staked hay bales <br /> and a 'siltation screen. <br /> There is a question from DEQE about the proposed septic system. <br /> Mr, Bergman described the flow of drainage and siltation explaining <br /> that Oiltation would not be flowing into the wetlands . lir. <br /> Bergman said that after talking with a. representative of DEE, his <br /> thoughts with regard to the slope "break-out" did not correspond <br /> with. Bergman's double-checked figures . Bergman feels that it meets <br /> the slope break-out criteria.. However, if the Board of Health that <br /> is not the case , it will be remedied by setting the top of the <br /> leaching Pit at a slightly increased depth to comply. <br /> The Chairman called for further questions , comments , discussion. <br /> There- were none . The hearing was declared closed and the proposal <br /> will be taken under' advisement. <br />
