Studley. <br /> Advisors present : wilmont Merrow, Judy Mills , Gerald Sprout. <br /> David Sharpe , resident of Mashpee and abidi .g at santuit Pond <br /> appeared informally before the Commission. to discuss the severe <br /> accumulation of debris , especially heavy debris such as vehicle <br /> tires , old water heaters and that sort of thing, He emphasized <br /> that a. person would have to go to a, lot of trouble to get that <br /> 'rstuff" in there . This debris in manor areas blocks or clogs the <br /> various waterways , i .e. brooks , .rivers , creeks impeding the mig- <br /> ration and then the spawning of the herring. <br /> In <br /> order to clear these obstruc tions , it would necessary t <br /> walk the entire length of the waterways and "hand-pick" such debris <br /> and remove it, There is no vehicular access . <br /> Ms . d.uPont said that she and Mr. Vergilio , Department of Public <br /> Works axed now Harbor Master) have discussed this situation <br /> Mr. Sharpe stated that portions of the Quashnet River, property <br /> that is owned by the Town- of M sh ee , are "bone dry" . This is <br /> especially true where it Flows out of John' s Pond. "This situation <br /> also has a lot to due with the cranberry people" <br />
