Louise Behrman, Gertrude Ferriday, parch du Pont, <br /> Mary a r to r s . <br /> Absent: Carol Jacobson,, Elliot Rosenberg . <br /> Also present was .John Va rkonda, Conservation Officer . <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.m. <br /> 7:30 - Pine i i 1.1 Estates. s Behrman stood downcreating a 1 o -quorum. <br /> The proponents agreed to a continuation until December 11 , 1986 at 7:30 p.m* <br /> 7:45 - Allyn Levy SE 3-612 (Wm. M. Warwick & Assoc. ) To construct and main- <br /> tain <br /> ai - <br /> tain an in-ground swimming pool , fence and terrace within 100 feet of Jehu <br /> Pond at 16 Tide Faun. Chrils Clark presenting with the landscape architect <br /> from P. M. Boucher Assoc. The abutters receipts were presented. <br /> There is a wall and a dock on the property for which Mr. Clark stated he <br /> had no DEE numbers . <br /> The Architect stated the existing railroad tie wa 1 1 provides a level area <br /> between the deck and the slope down to the bay and wi l 1 be untouched. The. <br /> unnite pool with a brick deck set in sand will be installed in that level area <br /> with no substantial regrading . There will be 5tone walls to facilitate stair- <br /> ways <br /> toir- <br /> ways and raised plant i rigs . There will be an automatic f i l tering system with <br /> a cartridge filter whi h wi 1 1 have no backwash requirements . The cartridge <br /> will be pulled once a week, or every two weeks , hosed off and returned to <br /> the system. The system also has an Ozonator, a water purification device <br /> which reduces chemical consumption by as much as 0o <br /> fence was. proposed on top of the retaining wall to meet building codes <br /> which will be discussed wrth the Building Inspector as it is now desired <br /> not to have the fence visible from the upper level and they would. like to <br /> tack it or install it right at the base of the wall . <br /> Ms Behrman adv i sed rnod i f i cat ion of the pl an would have' to be submi tted to <br /> the Commission. The architect a reed it would be presented as shown. He <br /> agreed also to provide descriptive information on the Ozonator and the cart- <br /> r i de filter system. <br /> When asked if there were any plans , where and how, for draining the pool <br /> under a worst possible scenario situation, #fir. Clark stated it would be <br /> appropriate to put into the Order of Conditions that any draining of the <br /> pool would be done on the street side of the p rope r t y. <br /> It was stated acres s to the construction area would be from the driveway <br /> and all excavated materials wl l l be removed from the site. There was dis- <br /> cussion <br /> is- <br /> cussi n of a possible drewe11 to which the proponents were agreeable. <br /> Existing plantingswill not be tour heed sea-.,ja rd as the only area to be <br /> disturbed is frorr' the wall up. <br />
