Agent ) <br /> This application is to construct and maintain additions and decks <br /> to an existing single-family dwelling including a new sewage- <br /> disposal system,associated appurtenances ; to construct a stone <br /> riprap; to construct a wood stairway; to perform loaming and <br /> seeding at Lot #521 Triton way , Mashpee . <br /> Mr. Robert Bergmann, representative for the agent, presented plans . <br /> He said that the Stiars will be set on 41 x 41 posts ; but if there <br /> is no riprap, the 41 x 41 posts will be set into the existing bank. <br /> The elevation of the steps parallel, not diagonal on the side <br /> against the bank will be 6" to 8" to 3" on the opposite side,, <br /> Ms . 'd�Pont stated that this is a very fragile area. There is <br /> great deal of concern about vegetation. Mr. Bergmann explained <br /> that the intention is to put the steps in by hand, <br /> Ms d Po .t stated that the Commission will not allow the rip-rap <br /> and questioned Mr. Bergmann as to how they would build the stairs <br /> Mr. Bergmann said that a concrete pad will be brought down to <br /> tab Ui e the bottom of the stairs , e further stated that this <br /> could be accomplished by driving posts but that this is not as <br /> acceptable method from a stability point of view. <br /> The deck is 2 ' to the top of the bank. <br /> After discussion and as there were- no further questions , Ms # 'dux ort <br /> declared the hearing closed and said that the matter will be taken <br /> under advisement, <br /> After further discussion by the members , an Order of Conditions was <br /> written and will be issued having the following special. conditions <br /> 1 . The deck must be cantilevered and dry wells installed <br /> to direct run-off away from the coastal. bank. <br /> 2. No mechanized equipment will be permitted f onward of <br /> the dwelling. <br /> 3 . All work on the stairs must be done by hand according <br /> to plans submitted with no concrete pad at the base . <br /> . The proposal for a. s t one ri pra.p is denied and the <br /> coastal bark must be protected with snow fence and staked <br /> ha; bales consisting of a triple band . , i .e . snow fence , <br />
