At.that time there was no Conservation Officer- and <br /> some enforcement was done through the Building Inspector's office. <br /> Mrs, Zuckerman stated she is concerned with the fragile shellfish beds and wants <br /> to protect i it, With rotor boats chewing it up,, it. will be lost. <br /> Ms Behrman stated this could have been considered during the Board of Appeals hear- <br /> ing. <br /> ng <br /> hers. Zuckerman stated' he called and was told by someone in the Conservation office <br /> not to attend as it was a preliminary hearing. <br /> John too�kissue with this statement and stated he told Mrs. Zuckerman to come to the <br /> hearing, she agreed he told her to come and she called someone else on the Commission. <br /> When asked, she stated she did not know to whom she had spoken. After discussion, <br /> it was ascertained she received notice of the Board of Appeals hearing and had <br /> called that office, not Con-servation. <br /> 1r. Rosenberg stated the Board of Appeals are the ones who authorized this dock. <br /> The job of the Conservation Commission is merely to see that it is constructed,, <br /> once.authorized by them, to minimize the impact on the environment. That is all <br /> the Commission can do. There will be another hearing before the State I' aterways <br /> and D*E* .E. concerning permission to put this doc!< in and them will be a notice <br /> in the newspaper. They have the right to allow or prohibit the dock. He advised <br /> Irs. . uckerman to watch for the notice and attend the State hearing or respond b <br /> letter to make known her feelings. <br /> Ms Behrman requested revised plans with the 40 foot extension and a copy of the <br /> authorization from New Seat r to traverse the common area. A grant was received from Federal Land & Water <br /> Conservation for a p-rle i ng lot off Quinaquissett Ave. and it is proposed to <br /> put a connecting trail from the parking lot down to Farley' s Camp in order not <br /> to walk out on Quinaquissett Ave. Pressure treated wood will be used for the <br /> bridge which will be -12 inches at the highest point.
