Mrs. Martes requested the name on the order of Conditions for Mary Brown be changed from Mary X, to Mary R. The Commission was advised there will be a meeting at Otis tomm morrow morning at 11 and John has been requested to attend. They are seeking an easement on land in Johns Pond Park, Ms Behrman advised the military had started proceedings to take the land by eminent domain from the previous owner. An opinion i 'being requested from Town Counsel as the land was purchased with Mate mon.ey, which requires a guarantee of public access, An easement would place restrictions on the land which may make it appear the 'down is not fulfilling its obligations. She cited the parcel of land now being sola to the military for a low price which they had been going to take by eminent domain, The reason given for the low price is the pre-existence of an easement granted to the military some time ago, If the base were to abandon some portion, as has happened r the title to the property should revert to the town, The proposed use of the! easement . .s unknown. Mr. Rosenberg was of the opinion that once designated as Conserv ation land the only one to have control is the Commission. It was agreed that John should attend the meeting and report back to the Commission. Ms Behman suggested Carol Jacobson attend also as a member of the Commission as well as John' s Pond Park Commaittee, A Public hearing will be scheduled to discuss the proposal, Mr. Rosenberg stated where a public advertised hearing would have to be held. - a formal proposal would be required.
