MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING OF OCTOBER l , 1987 "Commissioners Present: Gertrude Ferriday, Heather rghart ' Mary Marsters and Joseph Burns. Absent: V. Louise Behm an, Carol Jacobson Elliot Rosenberg . -Lisa Hanscom, Conservation Officer, was also present. The meeting was called to order at 7: 30 p.m, by Gertrude Ferriday, Chairman Pro Teem. 7 :30 - Arthur Burnes . M. Warwick Continued to October 29, 19871 -at the request of the applicant. ,.Ms Hanscom stated plans should be submitted with the correct contour line and the cottage was staked but not the area of the deck.which -appears to be in an area that dips down. . Flans were presented show- ing the delineation of the embankment where stripped at one time. It RP is 2 5 ft. away at the• closest point from the proposed dwellIng. Mrs, Mar ter s asked if the title on, this lot was questionable due to sanding rights and Mr. McAskill stated no, most of the sand pit is on the abutting lot, Concerning Mr. Burns questions on the driveway, Mr. McAskil l stated . . it would be paved unless the commission requests permeable, A paved apron was suggested in combination with blue s tome. Mr. 'McAsk it l agreed it is within. the Commission 's juri diction,, however , the only way to do a drainage system is if paved . If not, there could be erosion or destabilization of the driveway. Andrea Lang user presenting, Not shown on the -plan is the pu ►phouse. On the north section of Quinaquisset Ave. , that sectio'n of the bogs there is an existing ppboue large enough for cranberry bog facility, but not large e oug h for bog and golf maintenance facility. They man t to enlarge it by putting in a 12 X 60 ft. structure on a - ft. frost wall located within 10 feet of the -bank of the bog, It must be close to the bog, a pumphouse - for the irrigation system from the .retenti.on pond next to it.
