Blythe, W. Taylor A. Weinstein,, K. Layer, <br /> L. Patrick. C-D <br /> .. ........ <br /> The meeting was called to order at 5 p.m. <br /> Organ zat1 4� wTj <br /> Wayne Taylor nominated Fred Blythe to serve as Cha'irman of the Committee, it was <br /> seconded; and unanimously approved. <br /> 10 <br /> Kevin Cayer was nominated to serve as Vice Chairman,, which nomination was seconded <br /> by Louise Patrick; and unanimously approved. <br /> HeritW 1!;grk <br /> Would provide 2-1/2 to 3 acres of field for football and/or soccer practice. Engineering <br /> plans are being worked on(to include drainage, irrigation, etc.). Should be ready for use <br /> in Fall-2001. $100,000 fUnding appears to be okay, <br /> Other Fields <br /> Selectmen to choose a site;, then engineering to do planning, National Guard units <br /> volunteered to clear the land at no charge, Fall-2001 is target date to be usable, <br /> Senior Center/Pool/Community Recreation Bulldin <br /> Requests for bids have been published, and architectural bids expected by November 20, <br /> The Committee will be reviewing the bids and make a selection. Then the Committee <br /> would present a proposal to Selectmen for them to accept the bid (possibly this will be <br /> done November 27), <br /> Committee should decide conceptual needs plan; and the design company would do <br /> feasibility study before they start designing. <br /> Feasibility study findings then submitted to Selectmen for approval. If approved, <br /> designer does schematics. <br /> Bob found a small city grant ($400,000-500,000) for Senior Centers. May need hard <br /> blueprints to apply,..these would cost approximately $3 0,000. <br /> A, Weinstein to approach Senior Council regarding funding of blueprints, <br /> 6 <br /> Deadline to apply for the grant: May 1, 2001, <br />
