PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING OF JUNE 4, 1985 <br /> Vie following members of the Public Works Building Committee were present <br /> for the meeting held at the Public Darks Facility.- Samuel C. Re, John <br /> Wyllie, Chester Brown and Anthony F i orent i n i . <br /> E l l i s Laycock was also present. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.m. <br /> Chester Brown stated that according to the specifications, page 93, section <br /> Q.1Q_10,_. town ow-ned.mons-tori-rig wells on-..-tha---site--niu-s-t rot ted r- ��- area e----- <br /> - during construction., He asked if tale cap had been protected by a man hole <br /> cover. Ellis advised he talked with Mrs. Anderson about the cap and she <br /> did not want us to touch that or do anything at all about it. At one time <br /> there was a lock put on which was taken and never replaced. <br /> Mr. Fie reported he called town counsel ' s office, but was unable to speak <br /> with him to advise we are proceeding with the takeover of the job, It <br /> was agreed the letter would be given to Ellis and Mr. Reardon's comments <br /> would be sought on Thursday. A letter was hand delivered to Ellis con- <br /> cerning <br /> oncerning the town takeover of grading and clean-up and the wet l , with In- <br /> structions <br /> n- <br /> structions to notify the bonding company. The other items of concern to <br /> be resolved were listed; papiient of the gas bill , job guarantees , warranties, <br /> operating manuals, motor operated doors and leas in the roof. Ellis agreed <br /> to proceed. If items are not resolved by dune 15, 1985 , the bonding company <br /> will be notified. <br /> Concerning the grading, Ellis advised he spoke with Mr. Buckley of New <br /> seabury and was told they had purchased the fill from Bonito, He then <br /> called Bonito's office and through his secretary learned that Mr. Bonito <br /> said that we had given him some fill , which he had taken to New seabury, <br /> and that as all he needed. He did not remember he was to do other work. <br /> However, today he was at the facility, but Ellis was unaware of what tran*d <br /> spired. He further advised Our is too busy to do the work and he has been <br /> unable to reach Barbosa. <br /> With regard to the overhead door, Parma came here and rude the door oper- <br /> able, <br /> per-- <br /> able, a matter of a reset button on the motor, Ellis called Parma and <br /> asked about operating the door manually in case of a power failure. He <br /> was told to pull the chain to disengage the clutch and because of the <br /> counter balance of the springs, the door is automatically operative. <br /> Ellis tried to do this and could not open i t+ He will call Parma again. <br /> Parma was also requested to send literature by mail to Ellis on how to <br /> repair and operate the doors. <br />
