No information
has been received from Bill Fisher on the Sentinel Well Program
and where it is heading. We have received no promises of
funding, but most likely the military will cover limited and
partial containment.
SD-5 : The comment period ends November 21 , 1997 . Bill Fisher
W ill subm't a report which will be distributed to the Committee.
They are pumpin ` treat wells along Hooppo 1e Road and
recirculating wells between Hoo- ole Road and John' s Pond
The plume is thought to split near John' s Pond, Chancy c
recommended more fish test ink i n John' s Pond and Ashuraet Pond
(which was last done in 1991 ) .
FS-1: EDB was found in the cranberries tested on town-owned
cranberry bogs. Bob S. has riot talked to Jeff LaFleur. The
cranberries were harvested and disposed at SEMASS, Brian Handy
estimated this year ' s crop to be worth $60 ,000 , higher than
Last year ' s $30 , 000 crop. Nancy C. asked if we are calculating
losses and what is our future containment plan and time frame.
Bob W. will take action on this .
JDT* The DEP may do some conta ininent of this plume and perhaps
remediation ( since the owner is deceased and thence is no
survivor) .
