Bob W. will follow this up with our environmental lawyers on behalf of the Selectmen. Bob W. will call Chris Po 1 .art ( legal counsel ) for advice on the best approach to follow. Elias McQ. noted that this area was identified as a 8E--4 clean up area back in 1986 , and the fni 1 itar r ' s position -was that no action was necessary. The DEB did not agree with that, but they did not dila ree. Elias McQ. will brief Bob W. after the meeting with Rep. Cahir tomorrow. Fs-1: Greg T. has no new information but will cover this under the cranberry bog situation. JBT} GreLj T. has not received any information from DEP regarding installincj wells in Bic eral Bond. Bob S. asked hew we can get wells installed to monitor the water near the Town owned Bessie bog. Nand C. stated there is a meeting scheduled between the Mashpee and Falmouth selectmen on January 28th. Bob S. received some new mapping on the plume from Jacobs which shows its direction and relationship to the bock. They plan to do a riskanalysis and are tallying about isolating. The Conservation Commission will be given a briefing tonight on the cranberry bog situation* The decision on remediation will not be resolved until July. NEW BUSINESS Greg T. distributed a handout re: Superfund Legislation to fund local water protection efforts .
