getting Federal money now. There's no reason why we can t apply for it but can't apply wi th out a plan, You must have the plan for BOR funds. Mr. Bourgeois suggested that we check and see what Sandwich, Fal- mouth and Barnstable have done and use their plans -- "if their plan has been accepted, we could get a good idea of what to do; just add to orig- inal master plan. We have all kinds of literature on how to a: ply,, - We should get a copy of their map, It was wondered if we- could'use any assistance from Cape Cod Planning. The Senior Citizens' Home was discussed and it was mentioned that we had Mr. Doane ? working on it and he really put it 'together. Per- haps he could work on this - it might be good because one person could be we rking on it all the time. He helped a lot on the Honte - e would not have that hone now without his help, It was asked if there were any plans for increasing the acreage n the zoning. - - . Bourgeois replied that there was nothing def ini-te, but , or ethi ng has to be done in bringing anything befor'e the town until this skiit is settled, but we do have ideas. The zoning isn't necessary- to o the master plan, except it hinged on what happened at South Cape and the school. Some areas around there that had to be protected - may be some acquisition along Route 28 of any r urate land th ere -- if we can somehow intersperse it with residential. T e town owns a parc 1. over there between the Industrial and 1.1assasoit Grossing - supposed to be for conservation or recreation. Like to' see it planned all the way up to Route 151, 130 and 28. . Good to keep everything in one area. As-far as South Cape'goes, they're going ahead with it, not slowing down on it - it's all academic right now. Each of our boards has to keep working' on it. The State is not going to proceed any further on South Cape Beach. Cape Cod Planning was discussed as to who was available and i best suited to help. •# Narsters is pretty sure we 've got' a raster plan map. If not it's a good ?dace to start. it 1,-as rrientl1aned that eter Sloane 'had yap done and Dorothy Studley mentioned that she thinks she has a map that showrs a good deal of the tem land. It was also mentioned that we could use the real es tate valuation that ,*ust came out and add that on. 3 It was thought that <&t one time the State d i c sone drilling here in Mashpee by the Base for a Cape Cod Water Study. The State did test- ing for a well - at the time, they were looking for water f'or a town water supply. There was one done up at the dump in the past couple of near - never able to find out From the State who did it and where it was, It was suggested that we take e out all the maps e have and o�rer- way them and come up with a pretty definite idea of where everything is thea contact Gape Cod Planning and ask them to help us correlate it. fir~. Bourgeois said he doesn't kmow how good Cape Cod .Planning is now, if they work fox themselves, the towns, or the State - they could help us out.
