OtETING <br /> DATE: i December 16, 1976 Mashpee Town Hall <br /> TIME: 7:30 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Madam Studley with the following <br /> Commission members in,a'ttendance: 'Madam adam Chairman Studley, Pauline eLory.,. <br /> Charles Buckingham, andJim LeClair. Also in attendance was Gary Parker. <br /> Mrs. Studley opened by saying that the Planning Board couldn't e <br /> here and that they had asked us to set up a meeting -for the First V ednesday . <br /> in January., the 5th. They didn't have a chance to get the maps which were f <br /> discussed at the Planning Board's' December; 1st meeting. <br /> After discussion Gary Parker said he will send 5 copies of "Guidelines <br /> for Soil and Water Conservation" and he will see to it that the Planning <br /> Board gets one. Mr. Parker added that, if after we get these copies and . <br /> everyone has looked at it and if we would like to have some training or <br /> discussion on it, he would be more than happy to come over and discuss It <br /> with us. <br /> The minutes were read and' c c e ted. <br /> Is. Studley stated that she still thinks we should have a town-operated <br /> campground. No discussion ensued. <br /> Mrs. St .dley stated that Mr. Bunikis of Eldredge Engineering has filed <br /> an appeal with EE on the Huckabee - Kelleher project and EE has allowed <br /> his request on the denial order, which was based on procedural grounds. she <br /> also received a mote from 14r. uniki # office',,:-with a letter* from Hucka ee <br /> and Kelleher admitting that they had put in the stairway way and would we please <br /> include it in his plan for the dock. Mrs. Studley wanted to know whether <br /> those present would consider asking, or having her write a,letter to Yx. <br /> uni is, and ask thea to file a Notice of Intent for the stairway before we <br /> act again on the denial order and notify the State, or let it rice until the <br /> State takes over - the State will make an inspection of the site and make a <br />• determination. we can still appeal their superceding order. <br /> Mr. Buckingham said that if' the s tate .goes down and looks at: it, it <br /> would cost more to repair arra cause more damage if you repair it. Mrs. <br /> Studley said they won't make any determination on the stairway. our de- <br /> nial was based on the fact that the stairway was put in without a permit. <br /> The State will act+only on the pier and dock.- <br /> 14r. <br /> ock.1 r. Buckingham stated that he went back and looked at the area in order <br /> to find the. s tairway where. he had rai-s sed lt- the firs t time. He s aid if they <br /> had built on the other cortiner, the one nearer to the outlet of Jehu, all they <br /> would have needed was ono step. <br /> Mrs. Studley asked for a vote, wanting to know if we should let it ride <br /> until E E acts on it or sho ld she advise 11r. Bunikis to file another Notice <br /> of Intent for the stairway. <br /> Mr. LeClair wanted to know ghat that would do., asking if it would save <br /> the. -People--coming-from the State.
