Conservation Commission <br /> March 24.,.-1994 � <br /> Page 9. y 1 # <br /> 1 , i 1 <br /> Ms Lannik suggested a letter be- written to the Selectmen that if the town has the <br /> Conservation Restriction Program, it would enable us to get more land for the town. <br /> Also, to write a letter to the land owner that 3 their wish to donate the land to <br /> the town, we would be happy to receive its but has no funds to purchase it. <br /> Dr. Herz: Letter received from Norman Hayes. After discussion, <br /> lotion made and seconded that revegetation must be done with a deadline <br /> f thirty days and if it is not, a fine will be initiated. <br /> Unanimous vote. <br /> IOA Floats: Concerning IOA floats attached to a dock or the lard, protocol was <br /> worked out by the Conservation Agent and Harbormaster. Details must be provided <br /> to the Conservation Commission and a report made to the Harbormas ter. <br /> 'VOTE: Notion made and seconded to ask the Harbormaster to adopt this as one of <br /> his regulations. Unanimous vote. <br /> 41 <br /> Membership: A Letter was sent to members of -the Commission from the Chairman <br /> re membership responsibilities. <br /> Adopt a tree: Paul Averett advised volunteers can sign up and check off tours <br /> to be used. He felt the Tribal Council Wight be interested. <br /> Vortecbnics Grease/grit traps: 4 Catch basin information to be reviewed by the <br /> or issioners. <br /> mm Request received for permission to use boulders instead of concrete and <br /> cables. The Comission agreed this was acceptable. <br /> Bogs: Brian Handy has done river cleaning and is not finished. plants were <br /> ordered as discussed. Sites will be selected by the Agent, Steve Ball and. <br /> Brian Handy. Volunteer help will be solicited, <br /> Hearing: The Planning Board's hear Iing on ground water protection districts will <br /> held on April 6 at :oo p.m. <br /> Peninmda o cil: A filing is coring in for roads in a sensitive area on wading <br /> Place. They plan to rare the road and put in vegetation `or. sheet flow. It was <br /> .agreed a Notice of Intent should be filed. <br /> VUM: Motion made and seconded that the Peninsula Council file a Notice of <br /> Intent for the roads. <br /> Yurek: The Board of Health has requested that they move the septic back 8 feet <br /> closer to the road; it is preferable. <br /> Vim: Motion made and seconded to issue an administrative order for the roving <br /> of the septic. Unanimous Vote. <br /> Alternative Systems: Michael Grotzke has requested an appearance before the <br /> board with a representative for alternative septic systems. They will be on <br /> the agenda of April 7 at 9:00 p.m. for ten minutes.
