RIVER VIOLATIONS: The persons who did the violations will not <br /> commit to community service and may fight the fines. <br /> Mr. Green advised a 1ashpee Police officer came to the Tribal. <br /> Council and stated nothing would he done to the person or <br /> persons who committed the original violation because there is <br /> not enough evidence. He undermined everything that Mr. Green <br /> had done to smooth things over. The general feeling he got <br /> was that they are adamant about paying fines or anything <br /> because of what the Policeman did. <br /> Mr. Homeyer thought the Commission should push for a reward <br /> for the arrest and conviction of whomever did this, <br /> Mr. Sherman asked if they would be willing to admit that they <br /> do not have the authority and would not do this again if the <br /> Commission waived the fines? <br /> Nor. Green was at the site with Leigh Potter who stated if <br /> they did this, he would have to fine them and not to go <br /> further. He, personally, has not become popular with this <br /> stand but felt the Commission has to be firm. If the issue <br /> is dropped, the Commission might as well pack it in; the <br /> Commission would lose its credibility. Everyone must be <br /> treated equally. <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons congratulated Mr. Green on his courageous <br /> stand on this. <br /> Mr, Green suggested the Selectmen be asked to press forward <br /> with their investigation. <br /> Mr, Homeyer stated the selectmen promised this would not be <br /> let to die, <br /> Mr. Green asked for two weeks to try to work something out; <br /> he does not want to see it die. The Commission agreed. <br /> INVENTORY: Dario DiGregorio will gave a slide presentation <br /> and update on, the inventory of Conservation lands on <br /> January 12th at 7: 30 p,m <br /> EEGs HEARING: Consideration should be given for a hearing in <br /> the near future involving Water Quality Standards and reduced <br /> Amended Order fees. <br /> The Agent will begin work on a draft to be presented for <br />
