_ 2 <br /> DESROSIERS: Based on the information that was discussed at <br /> this meeting, I would have voted the other way. <br /> F 1 I AY: We do have interests that we have to protect. <br /> ASST. CONSERVATION AGENT <br /> Peter Diniio, liaison to the Selectmen, was introduced to <br /> the Commissioners. <br /> Joe Dellagalla and Ron Leine of the Personnel Board were <br /> present to offer their findings to the Commission. <br /> The made comparisons between the Candidates and recommended <br /> that Carolyn Banks be hired for the position. <br /> Mr. Homeyer made a motion to affirm the original Grote to ask <br /> the selectmen to appoint Mark Sherman the Conservation Agent. <br /> Mr. Fitzsimmons stated if the Commission supports this <br /> motion, they will be voting for Mark Sherman. <br /> The motion was not seconded. <br /> Mr. Homeyer stated he would amend his motion that by secret <br /> ballot the Commission reaffirm the vote taken originally. <br /> Mr. Dinizio stated a secret ballot Cannot he taken in an open <br /> meeting. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded that by secret ballot a Grote <br /> e taken to reaffirm the original vote that the Comm- <br /> ission had taken to appoint Mark Sherman as the <br /> Assistant Conservation Agent. <br /> FOR: 2 <br /> AGAINST: <br /> The tie was broken by the Chairman who voted against, raking <br /> the vote 3 to 2 against. <br /> Mrs. Ferriday stated there are throe Candidates unless the <br /> Commissioners wanted to rule out Mr, Burns. She asked if an <br /> oval or written vote was preferred? <br /> NOTE: Motion made and seconded to Consider a vote for two <br /> individuals, Ms Banks and Mr. Sherman. <br /> The Chairman took a straw poll with a majority for Ms Banks. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to recommend Carolyn Banks to <br /> the Selectman for the position of Assistant <br /> Conservation Agent. opposed: Frank Hon eyer <br /> MOTION CARRIED - 4 to 1 <br /> JINN: .Little River has requested to shorten a dock y 36 <br /> feet. It is a very shallow area. Mr. Sherman stated this <br /> should not be permitted unless he agrees to a dinghy dock. <br />
