CONSERVATION AGENT Peter Diniio, liaison to the Selectmen, was introduced to the Commissioners. Joe Dellagalla and Ron Leine of the Personnel Board were present to offer their findings to the Commission. The made comparisons between the Candidates and recommended that Carolyn Banks be hired for the position. Mr. Homeyer made a motion to affirm the original Grote to ask the selectmen to appoint Mark Sherman the Conservation Agent. Mr. Fitzsimmons stated if the Commission supports this motion, they will be voting for Mark Sherman. The motion was not seconded. Mr. Homeyer stated he would amend his motion that by secret ballot the Commission reaffirm the vote taken originally. Mr. Dinizio stated a secret ballot Cannot he taken in an open meeting. VOTE: Motion made and seconded that by secret ballot a Grote e taken to reaffirm the original vote that the Comm- ission had taken to appoint Mark Sherman as the Assistant Conservation Agent. FOR: 2 AGAINST: The tie was broken by the Chairman who voted against, raking the vote 3 to 2 against. Mrs. Ferriday stated there are throe Candidates unless the Commissioners wanted to rule out Mr, Burns. She asked if an oval or written vote was preferred? NOTE: Motion made and seconded to Consider a vote for two individuals, Ms Banks and Mr. Sherman. The Chairman took a straw poll with a majority for Ms Banks. VOTE: Motion made and seconded to recommend Carolyn Banks to the Selectman for the position of Assistant Conservation Agent. opposed: Frank Hon eyer MOTION CARRIED - 4 to 1 JINN: .Little River has requested to shorten a dock y 36 feet. It is a very shallow area. Mr. Sherman stated this should not be permitted unless he agrees to a dinghy dock.
