MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION Minutes of I April 1995 Co=issioners present: Gertrude Ferriday, Elliot Rosenberg, John Johansen, John Fitzsimmons, Robert Lopez , George Green Jr. The meeting was called to order at 6 :55 p.m. 6:55 PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Mrs, Ferriday distributed her notes from the Annual MACC Meeting. The scheduled hearings are being held under 310 CMR, wetlands Protection Act and Chapter 172 of the Town of Mashpee Bylaw. 7:00 o THE TRUSTEES of RESERVATIONS for a Determination o Applicability on the rehabilitation of 150 feet of existing walking trail at 435 River Road, Tom Fudala presenting. He and the Agent look at the site; the trail was built in 1989 under a previous RDA. Two sections have become muddy because of dirt bikes, on the west side of the Kiger. The Trustees of Reservations will provide all materials and the Conservation Corps will do all the work. The work is scheduled for the Sunday after next and any volunteers would be welcome. At the request of the Agent, Mr. Fudala added a sentence to the request, "There will be no removal of vegetation or widening of the path", Public comments* none. VOTE: Motion nae and seconded to find a negative determination for the Trustees of Reservations. NEGATIVE DETERMINATION, 7:10 MARIE JONES for a Determination of Applicability on the repair and maintenance of an existing pier Chapter 91 Waterways 5 at 379 Monom.osoy Road. Judy Kuusela presenting. They are asking to repair the one shown on the left side of the plan; there are actually three docks, Mr, Sherman asked if they were asking to repair the bulkhead? They were not. He stated the scale of the plan provided was small and did not accurately reflect the shape; he requested another sketch, not by an engineer, but a more accurate sketch to show what is there. Mrs. Kuusela asked if in the future the other docks needed- repair, would that be a separate permit for each one? Mr. Sherman stated they could roll them all into one, but they would need accurate sketches of all three. He suggested taking care of this one first and asked that the language in the request .be refined to restrict it to that one particular pier.
