Mr. Handy would like to go over it <br /> again. Mr. Sherman asked to be contacted before it is done <br /> again. Mr, Handy stated this sanding is with a floating <br /> barge; there is only one small section that is left. The <br /> majority of the work along the river is done. <br /> Mr. Sherman asked, when barge sanding, how do they make sure <br /> they are not over the river channel. He was told they flag <br /> everything. <br /> Mr. Ball asked if they hold the water back after they sand? <br /> They do, they try to get it to settle down. <br /> Mr. Handy advised the crop was down; he was not sure why. He <br /> wants to slope the banks and get vegetation in there. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated one major project is by BCS; Don Liptack <br /> has been working to design a dike to separate the bog from <br /> the adjoining wetland. Also, Fugro East has been <br /> commissioned for the water control structures. They will b <br /> reporting hack to the Commission shortly* GAF will be <br /> designing the structures . At some point in time, more money <br /> will have to be spent to revegetate that dike properly. The <br /> Commission will make sure whatever is put in will not be a <br /> problem to the bog. <br /> In the future, it is desired to replace the John's Pond s <br /> flume; it is a problem in terms of design. <br /> Mr. Ball asked if the Commission wants Brian to finish the <br /> other side?
