MSHPEE CONSERVATION COMM I SS C Minutes 10 August 1995 Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons , John Johansen , David Sharpe , Ralph Shaw , Harry Derr os i r s . Assistant Conservation Agent Kathy T rr .o was present also . PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: Lloyd Ga i nsbor o came forward . He stated it was difficult for him to be here and not have Mr . Sherman present as there is a difference of opinion , but have no choice because he gave me five days From the time I received the .fetter or he would get Soo fine per day and that would start tomorrow . He advised throe years ago he put oat in for a couple of wave runners . Mrr . Sherman told him he could not have it that way and he had a discussion with hien of the five potential ways to sod.ve the problem: 1 . Go through Waterways for a minor d ustr nt; 2 . Go through Waterways with a full-blown resubmission; 3 . Get a mooring ( Mr . Sherman did not I i k the moor i n aspect K Remove a n y permanent attachment; . Remove VI altogether . He applied to Waterways and they stated he would have to resubmit . H applied for a mooring , #485 . However ,, Mr . Sherman did not like this 'idea so he removed all permanent attachments and found that would work . It is tied on like a boat and has been there three years . When he bought the property in 1355 ,, the previous gentleman had stripped all vegetation all the way down to the water and there was a Conservation lien on the property . He has planted shrubs and has brought it back again . Mr . Sherman had stated he sent certified mail i n September o that year which was not picked up at the Post office . He has never done anything where I would not pick up something , h could have been away , be he would never not answer a letter or pick it up . He stated Mr . Sherman has his phone number and could have called him . it is a very small ramp that holds two small w v runn rs . He could have done the mooring but Mr . Sherman did not like the mooring because he said that starts something he did not want to start Mr . Gai nsboro stated , 10f you read in Mr . Sh r m n 's letter , and he was infuriated when he got the letter and maybe his letter back to the commission was a little more difficult that it should have been but he was really upset with Mr . Sherman "s letter . number one , he d i d n 't want to talk to m t all about the subject; number two , it 's as if he did this horrible thing for three years . All he wants is to live there i n peace .
