28 December 1995 <br /> Page 14. <br /> permit allow Wlowbend to withdraw water, 240,000 gallons per day, on average, from <br /> April to October. <br /> it came to their attention that the cranberry bog which has been i . cte for years has been <br /> reactivated by Winowbend and they witnessed water being directed from the holding <br /> ponds into the cranberry bog. This is being investigated by DEP as they sank three wens <br /> without the prior approval of DEP. They were tale to dism=tle the wells. <br /> fir. Shaughnessey advised they are requesting that DLP reduce the amount of water in <br /> their pennit. There is no allowance for them to divert water to the cranberry bog. It has <br /> been enhanced by Winowbend. Sarah Crockett of DEP has agreed this has happened. He <br /> asked that the Commission forbid the use of any water put into those holding ponds from <br /> being diverted to the cranbery bog and if it happens, that the permit be revoked. <br /> lis Fantozzi stated the issues raised are inappropriate to the matter at hand. Regarding the <br /> surface water storage pond, DEP has rendered opinions, they are aware of and allow both <br /> uses. <br /> �'. <br /> Sherman awed that she pvqwe a written response to fir. Under the agricultural farm pian, <br /> straightening bog edges is allowed. when that happens they will spend more time in <br /> grading back. The fling and excavation is covered in land in agrieulft=. They will be <br /> able to fine-time the grading. <br /> A& Sherman stated he had no problem with this project. <br /> Public comments: none. <br /> V 'I'E: Motion made and seconded to find a negative determination.
