AMENDMENT ACCEPTED. :30 ALAN MELTZER for the expansion of an eidsting second-story deck and vegetative enhancement of a wetland resource area and within the buffer zone at 51 Sunset Circle. eke Ball of Fugro and Atty. Dane presenting. Mr. Ball stated a portion of the deck expansion fags within the 50 foot buffer zone which prompted a mitigation plan. A plan showing a fisting conditions and proposed enhancement areas was shown. Mr. Rosenberg asked if the deck expansion was permitted? Mr. Sherman stated no. fir. Rosenberg asked if it preceded the regs for the 59 foot buffer? Mr. Ball stated the main concern was the effect on wildIffe habitat. They hoped to design a plan to mitigate these impacts and it is Fugre opm' 'On this plan wl enhance wildlife habitat. A/Ir. Sherman stated the green area wiU become shrubs, it is sand now, it accepted and he recommended it should be. He stated the was the deck addition was done was reprehensible but this plan is an improvement. He asked Mr. Ball if the client would be w ing to have him supervise the plantings. Mr. Ball stated they spoke informa Ry about that and he will. There are 44 plantings. Mr. Fitzsimmons found it distressing to have someone come before the Commission with something like this, if you wart a deck go ahead and build it and cone in with a plan to put in a few shrubs and get away~ with it. Mr. Rosenberg was concerned that the Commission had denied a solar situation. Abutter notification receipts were provided. The list was certified. Mr. Ball felt it was important to show how much of the deck expansion was in the buffer zone and how much area they are wing to plant and allow t grow. The doss-hatched area will not be pruned at all. W. Sherman stated if the planted area is approved, they will have to maintain it.
