Jim Hanks gave the commission a quick overview of our present candidate, Mr. <br /> wartzb augh, by going over his resume briefly. <br /> At this time,, our applicant was brought back into the room for our interview. John <br /> wartzbaugh is a registered voter and fill time resident in Mashpee, on Fells Pond in <br /> New Seabury. Mr. Swartzbaugh started the interview by telling commission members <br /> what first attracted him to becoming a full time resident of Mashpee and then to further <br /> become involved by pursuing a position on the Waterways Commission. Mr. <br /> wartzbaugh gave us a brief history of his work in public affairs and his work and <br /> interest in environmental affairs, He also gave us his input and position on the Mashpee <br /> River Dredging Prod ect. This served the commission well on getting an inside glimpse as <br /> to what Mr. Swartzbaugh might be able to offer the waterways Commission as a <br /> member. <br /> Jim Hanks and other members thanked Mr. Swartzbaugh for his time and input and were <br /> told that the commission would be in touch with him. He then left the interview and the <br /> meeting, <br /> While the meeting was still in closed session, Gerald Daly made a motion that we <br /> recommend John Swartzbaugh for a permanent seat on the waterways Commission. Jim <br /> Hanks seconded the motion and all other members voted in favor. <br /> Jerald Daly made a motion to adjourn the executive session as well as the regular <br /> meeting.
