Jing <br /> Hanks explained to conniiission members the exact location of the proposed ten-acre site. <br /> Mr.. Hanks also offered that the site only has about a foot of water,possibly a foot and a half <br /> at high tide, <br /> * Sediment AnaNsi5. <br /> A& Hanks led a brief discussion regarding sediment analysis. He is still waiting to hear from <br /> Brian Howes. what we are waiting on Dir. Howes to do is analyze the four samples we tool <br /> and tell us what the characteristics are, Vatious ways of expediting this process were <br /> discussed. <br /> Jiln Hmiks is inclined to look into what it takes to get a conunerc ial house to do it so we can <br /> he ready to roll and give Nian Howes two weeks to respond. <br /> Ed Baker suggested that there were other scientists that could hv,considered if we don't hear <br /> hack front Dr. Howes in a timely mamer. Jim questioned the wisdom of changing scientists <br /> at this point where Dr. Howes already has all of our data. The final decision was made to <br /> beep after Dr. Howes for a response and in the mean ti ne line up an alter-native should Dr, <br /> Howes not respond in a favorable or timely fashion. Everyone agreed that while we understood Dr. Howes was indeed very <br /> busy, he sdU has an agreement with the waterways omn�ssion and vire need for him to <br /> fid his commitment to us. <br /> A motion was made by Herb Steer to adjourn the meeting.
