Fresh Nater - wii.11iam Taylor
There was a meeting of the ashpe e- akeby Lake Management
Committee. The major issue discussed was compiling a
newsletter consisting of the ashpee- akeby Lake rules and
regulations, hopefully to be ready for dILstri.but.ion by next
spring*
Foppones se t Bay - Herb Silver
Most of the boats are out of the water with the exception of
three or four.. Tie Research Vessel is at Herbs neighbors
dock.
Herb reported an observation he has made this year. T-here
does not appear to be as many fish jumping in the water as has
been observed .in other years . This brings to the commissions
mind the i s sue of water quality and it' s relationship to this
lack of aquatic activity. Of course., with the absence of
fish, there has also been an absence of birds as well .
Ed Baker reports that he has noticed an. aluminum 14' long
outboard pulled out of the water and an top of the marsh. Jim
conveyed that this sounded like a wetlands issue and under the
jurisdiction of Bob Sherman, as the boat is not actually in
the water. shellfish Constable Rick York said that he would
be willing to go, check it out, talk to Derry about it and
record the Massachusetts registration numbers tomorrow for
'identification purposes .
Waquo i t Bair - J=4 Hanks
Jim reports that most boats are out of Great River as of this
date . The entrance to Little River and Great River has been
dredged about 2500 cubic yards
One observation Jim has made since the dredging is that the
water seers to be "ripping" through there at a. very rapid
rate .
Rick York informed the commission that Perry Ellis and Bob
Sherman were there today and signed off on the dredged sand
disposal .
CountyDredge .visor Co i ttee _ W.11iam Taylor
Bill states that there was no meeting held but as Jim
reported{ the dredging has been done in the Waquoit Bay area..
Waterways By-laws and Regulation - J3'M Hanks
An e-mail was sent to Nadine Walkowski, Col. Murray' s'
secretary, asking if there had been any decision yet regarding
