i
20 February 1997
Page 9.
Ts l rdis; Mr. Sherman advised this is a land-locked lot on Ropponesset
Island. There was some work done, clearing and mounds of dirt. It is within
200 feet of the Rivers Act and the flood zone. They have been sent a letter
that they will have to fRe. The septic is in the ground but they will have to go
forward with a denitrifying system.
Kon: In building their house, they have decided they would Ue to have a
room above the garage for a sewing room. This gets into whether it ever
becomes a bedroom. He suggested accepting the concept of an inspection as to
whether it remains a sewing room.
Mr. Fitzsimmons did not feel that was practical. He asked if it has access to
the main part of the house?
111x. Sherman suggested discussing this at the next meeting.
Mr. Rosenberg asked if she has been to the building department. Mr.
Sherman stated she had and there are no concerns. if seasonal it would not
be a problem.
Bylaw: The attorney general shot down the changes to the bylaw to have
more control of the work by utilities in rivers, etc. The only recourse would be
to take it to court. Anything that pre-empts issues on cranberries for a bylaw
would not be approved.
SOC/A00.1 A copy of a boiler plate order distributed for review. To be
discussed next meeting.
began: The lawn was turned down. He did net appeal in a timely manner
and there is no appeal under the bylaw. Mr. Sherman suggested proceeding
with ars enforcement order against him to remove the lawn..
Sullivan: The property is on Redwood Circle. The court gave the
ComMission a $5000 settlement some time ago. There has been cutting
violations there recently. They have dug a trench and changed drainage.
Mr. Sherman suggested the Commission consider revoking their Order of
Conditions and make then leave the entire area along. A public hearm* g
would have to be held.
`OTE: Motion Ornade and seconded to refer the matter to Kopelrnan & Paige.
Unanimous mous vote.
