i
October 1997
Page 5.
i
Mr. Rosenberg stated this is inappropriate.
Mr. Sherman stated Chapter 91 has denied this in its current form. Mr.
Hayes stated if they go with the 12 slips, they would have to make any open
slips available to the general public.
Mr. Sherman asked if they are still pursuing a 12 slip docking facility? What
is Mr. Hayes object tonight? Mr. Mayes stated it is to get as much information
possible from abutters to downsize the structure. Mr. Sherman stated it i
stiH in a state of flux.
Mr. Rosenberg suggested Mr. Hayes schedule a hearing with the public
somewhere.
Mr. Hayes asked for a continuance to allow hires to meet with the Agent and
Perry Elis before coag back with a revised plan. Mr. Desrosiers suggested
including the Shellfish Warden. He felt if there is a public meeting, someone
from the Com-mission should be present. They will have to clear up the 200
s.f. requirement for a private dock.
Mr. Sherman stated the salt marsh stall needs to be Ragged. Mr. Mayes asked
if he granted them to stake it in the field? Mr. Sherman stated it was not
shown on the plan. Mr. Hayes will reflag it with stakes and will call to
arrange a meeting. He asked the group of interested parties to appoint a
spokesperson. He stated he is looking for positive input here.
'
. Sherman stated comment will not be taken tonight because the plan is
Mill in flux. The Commission cannot design it for a group of people with no
plan in hand; there wiR be another public hearing. Legally, abutters do not
have to be renotied b fetter again. The dateof the continuance will be
announced.tonight.
Mr. Agnitti stated it becomes their burden to notify everybody. The
Commission is in this position because they go between law and
interpretation; it behooves the Commission to take the means to give people
the opportunity to cone here.
woman in the audience asked why only abutters, she is across the Bay.
Mr. Sherman advised the law sees notice to abutters within 100 feet o
the property boundaries, whomever is fisted on the.assessors' records.
Mfr. sent . as ed Mr. Taves if he would be willing to readvertise
