It was written that there would be no start until everything <br /> is in place and the Commission will have to have the as-built plan. <br /> The Chair asked Mr. Rosenberg to review this. Mr. Rosenberg felt that, even <br /> if the Commission puts up the money, the person should be a Town employee. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated they would, a special contract employee of the town, <br /> working with the Commission and the Herring Warden. <br /> Mr. McGonagle agreed with Mr. Sherman. The plan is going to work, it is <br /> working now. The problem that is going to be for this Board and whoever is <br /> going to take charge of this, is that a monster was created with sediment and <br /> sand, That is going to have to be addressed. fir. Sherman stated that is <br /> addressed in here. The other component of this is to get Mr. Whritenour to <br /> fund this because the Commission cannot fund everything. <br /> Mr. McGonagle asked the Board to consider the role of the Lake Management <br /> Committee which was put in place to manage it's lake. There are members <br /> on the Committee from down-stream who have valuable input. He would <br /> like consideration of his offer to the Town to wake up the Management <br /> Committee of various bodies to take care of the river. At their end of the <br /> lake, they would see that debris was kept off the front of the dam. It would <br /> be a group made up of different segments that would take care of the river <br /> and darn site. Mr. Sherman stated that is not the way it is currently set up <br /> in this recommendation. <br /> Mr. McGonagle stated there is no doubt in his mind that the Conservation <br /> Commission is going to be the overseer of this. They just do not want to be <br /> left out of the loop. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated item D, under #7, Horsely & Witten has had problems <br /> with the calibration, they feel they need more money.
