Mr. Ellis stated either the state <br /> 4 <br /> or the Town have the funds. she stated the abutters have always paid for <br /> the work that has leen done on the property for over 30 years. They have <br /> been watching over this property and trying to keep it open. <br /> Fred Blythe asked who is pushing to expand this from four to eight? Mr. <br /> Ellis stated there are many fishermen who want to go down there to park and <br /> legally fish and can't because some of the abutters have their family park in <br /> the spaces. There are people using it for swimming when it is a fishermen's <br /> access. To create some legal parking will alleviate the illegal situation. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to continue the hearing to s April 1339 <br /> at 7:05 p.m. Unanimous nimous Vote. <br /> HEARING CONTINUED, <br /> HICKS, FORTE AND DESCHENE to remove vegetation from work <br /> areas, remove lumber steps, part of 12" high wall, rope fence and install clean <br /> fill to regrade easement area; excavate driveway area and install dense grade <br /> and crushed stone and compensatory planting at 95 and 101 Popponesse <br /> Island Road. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated there are two lots. Most ofthis work was done by <br /> previous owner with access problems. He has no problem with the driveway <br /> but someone has started work without permits. <br /> Heather Wright advised the easement area is very steep with steps. It has <br /> been planted with non-native plants. There will be no removal of loam and <br /> fill from the site. They are proposing to add to the line of existing vegetation <br /> along the front edge. <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested more assorted varieties. Ms Wright agreed. Abutter <br /> receipts were provided. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to close pending receipt of after-the- <br /> fact filing fees. Unanimous vote. <br />
