15 July 1999
Page 9.
Chris King was present for Mr. Cowhig.
Mr. Sherman recommended denial without prejudice on this because this is a ease where not only was it
not staked, but numerous part ofthe work such as landscaping, patios, driveways were not depleted. It was
impossible for hint to make any judgment as to whether there would be an adverse impacts under Chapter
172 or the Wetlands Act.
Chris ling did not have any eonun nt at this moment. I arra new at working on these situations at New
Seabury. I understand the Board's point of view. What does a denial mean? (Denial without prejudice
means you may reapply.)
VOTE: Motion made and seconded to deny without prejudice. Unanimous vote.
8:30 NEW SEAB[lRV PROPERTIES,LLC for reconstruction ofan existing single family house with
septic system, patio, landscape area and permeable driveway with parking area at 3 Ocean Bluff Drive
(Shore Drive),Assessors Map 123,Block 194. Chris Ding was here to speak for this one also.
Mr. Sherman stated there are issues with this regarding perm ability with its location close to the dune
which is a resource area. The plan was inadequate;as proposed it would not meet performance standards.
Those issues that I addressed in the second to last paragraph need to be addressed before you reapply.
VOTE: lotion made and seconded to deny without prejudice. Unanimous vote.
Return to New Business:
Owners of property on Meetinghouse Road are offering to sell it to us. I haven't had a chance to look
into it yet. Tom is looking into this. Will postpone to next meeting.
Upcoming Cotuit Golf Course hearing/meeting with proponents: We have ars upcoming hearing at the
next session of verifying resources area boundaries for a very large project on either side of the Santuit
River consisting of a golf course. Sabatia has done the preparation and I am walking the site with Bots
Gray and Diane B.oretos on Monday. There are at least 8 or 10 wetlands. It appears that they are receptive
to our concerns about wildlife habitat. This will be a private golf course that will be partly in Cotuit and
will be not-for-profit.
The Commission was polled to go into Executive Session.
The vote was unanimous to eater executive session and not return to open session.
Re ectfully submitted
r
r
l
ti
Christina Roberts
Board Secretary
