New Business: <br /> 1 . Diane Boretos explained illegal cutting has been done <br /> within the buffer zone, atlantic white cedar swamp at the corner <br /> of Uncle Percy' s and Rock Landing Roads. She requested <br /> ratification of the issuance of Enforcement order/New Sea u `y. <br /> 1r. Sherman explained Applicant would be required to provide <br /> a plan showing what has been cut, the wetland line, and <br /> preparation of a revegetation plan. <br /> With reference to the cutting done at the atlantic white <br /> cedar swamp by Mosquito Control, Diane Boretos informed the <br /> Commission that several communities within the state have <br /> considered not exempting Mosquito control and suggesting they not <br /> perform the wetland alteration tests. She reported the mosquito <br /> Control, for no apparent reason, cut numerous old years red <br /> maple trees and old hybrid blueberries along the edge of the <br /> swamp. Said portion of land has been severely impacted as a <br /> result of cutting as reproduction takes place at the edges, the <br /> amount of sunlight has been changed significantly. <br /> Mr. Sherman suggested she take pictures of the area and sen <br /> thea along with a letter inquiring as to the reasoning for such <br /> drastic action. The Commission agreed Ms. Boretos should follow <br /> through in this regard: <br /> 2 . Mr. Sherman prodtced a letter of compliment, in which <br /> the conservation Commission was mentioned, acknowledging the <br /> courtesy shown to the public. <br /> . Mr. Sherman reported there are five co ' s to be <br /> signed, all of which are in compliance. There is one 1 partial <br /> for New Seabury nourishment which will allow them to sell the <br /> condominium unit, with the restriction that the survey mint be <br /> completed. <br /> 4 .i <br /> 1 . Sherman requested volunteers to staff the wild About <br /> Wildlife Table at Mashpee commons on Saturday, June 10, 2000, <br /> 11: 00 a.m. to 2 : 00 p.m. Greg wirsen volunteered. <br /> Executive Session <br /> The Conservation committee entered into Executive Session <br /> a p.m.. Motion having been duly made and seconded to do <br /> i <br /> so. Executive Session concluded at 8: 54 p.m. <br /> . other Business-John Johansen reported Brian Casey has <br /> been in contact with him. There wasbrief discussion with regard <br /> to imposing an Enforcement order on the owner of the property. <br /> i <br /> -18� <br />
