MASHPEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> Minutes of 22 June 2000 <br /> Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Eliot Rosenberg, Ralph <br /> Shaw, John Johansen, Carol Moore. <br /> Chair Fitzsimmons called the meeting to order at 6:55 p.m. with a quorum <br /> present. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT: Michael Grot ke advised of a dilemma. Last year they <br /> had a permit for fireworks on the beach with fencing to block off the beach <br /> path. They have approval from the Fire Department to do the same this year <br /> on July 2nd and thought the negative determination from last year covered <br /> this year. other permits have been gotten. He provided a plan proposing to <br /> put the fencing on horses. It is a temporary activity. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it is placing something in a resource area. 'technically, <br /> they do not have anon-going permit. He suggested since the fences are put <br /> up as a public safety measure, that Mr. tarot ke get a letter from the Fire <br /> Department stating emergency status and get an emergency certificate. <br /> After discussion, the consensus was to accept a request for an emergency <br /> certificate with a letter from the Fire Department. lir. Grotzke will file <br /> Notice of Intent, after-the-fact, to continue the fireworks yearly in perpetuity. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated it will be specified they will return the area to its <br /> original condition. <br /> 00 COLONIAL GAS COMPANY to install a 431' plastic pipe natural gas <br /> main in the north shoulder area of sampsons Mill Road and to install a 12' <br /> plastic pipe natural gas service to 28 sarnpsons Mill Road. Bill Bento was <br /> present. <br /> Ms Boretos recommended negative two. <br /> Public comment: none. <br /> VOTE: Motion made and seconded to find negative. Unanimous vote. <br /> NEGATIVE DETERMINATION, <br /> MINATION, <br /> 7:05 PETER LADE for a Determination of Applilil <br />
