Mr. Santos stated it will slow it down
and they are proposing plantings.
Mr. Sherman stated grading changes should be shown. An abutter-put in a pool and because of the location and
height of the pool, it is very close, they wart to do screening with plants, 5 - 16-20'
eastern cedars. Secondly, they want to remove vegetation and put in indigenous plants
in another location. They would replant with bayberry. The vegetation is affecting his
dock access.
Mr. Talbot asked if they would agree to do more selective removal?
Ms Boretos stated the sassafrass that is there is.very salt tolerant.
Mr. Sherman stated they talked about some thinning of some speciesand replacement
of others, but never talked about how much. He would have to see a specific plan first.
He asked if it would be in order for Ms Boretos to meet out there with Mr. Talbot to get
more specificity? The Chair agreed.
Mr. Casey stated Mr. Luconi is looking to arae it more attractive. They would
selectively remove some and replace with bayberry, s itch r ss and clethra. It will
have to be done in a slow process because of the embankment. They will try to make it
more functional.
The Commission agreed there should be more specificity and that Ms Boretos and Mr.
Talbot should meet, at the site with Mr. Casey.
Mr. Sherman stated there should also be a narrative,to plan this out.
