Michael Grotzke presenting. <br /> Mr. Sherman-stated there are a large number of trees to be removed. He <br /> told therm they meed a wetland scientist to do an evaluation. He was told. <br /> Mike Hall has been hired. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated-the coastal bark is not in the right place. over 50 <br /> trees are going. The area does have wildlife habitat significance. The <br /> issue is mitigation for wildlife habitat. He would life to see therm <br /> reconfigure the alteration to get it above the top of the coastal bark for <br /> the statutory reason and the performance standards for coastal bank. <br /> After that, mitigative plantings can be discussed. <br /> Mr. trot l e stated they are doing the two houses next to this as well and <br /> had to stay behind. They are trying to honor the o' setback. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated the o' setback is the minimum. i <br /> Mr. Rosenberg stated they are altering the topography of the lard. They <br /> are going to fill in over the 0' lime. Lawn is not very beneficial to habitat, <br /> Mr. Sherman stated from their measurements, it slid not meet the criteria <br /> for coastal bank. It is steeper than 1-10, The coastal -bark is up here. <br /> He could not sign off on the coastal bank. <br /> Ms. Boretos suggested moving the house back and getting a variance for <br /> the septic system.. Mr. Sherman stated yes, if that is possible. <br /> It was noted this is not a special permit area. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated this lot is well treed. He has not seen mitigation <br /> commensurate with the loss of trees. The top of ban needs to be shown <br /> correctly. <br /> Mr. Rosenberg senberg was concerned with the amount of impervious coverage. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated that the wall is going to be subject to a wave <br /> environment during a storm.
