Town of ma s hp e e <br /> Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> July 12, 2001 <br /> The Town of 1► ashpee Conservation Commission Meeting was <br /> called to order in Conference Room # , Mashpee 'down Hall, 16 <br /> Great Neck Road North, ashpee, Massachusetts at 6 :55 p.m. o <br /> Thursday, July 12, 2001. The Chairman, John Fitzsimmons, <br /> presided. <br /> Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Chairman; John <br /> JohansenCler ; Carole Moore; Leonard l aud; Elliot Rosenberg. <br /> vice Chairman; Ralph Shaw; and Michael Talbot. <br /> Also present: Robert Sherpa ., Conservation Agent; and <br /> Diane Boretos, Assistant Conservation Agent. <br /> The Chairman declared a quorum to be present and called the <br /> meeting to order. As the first order of business he addressed : <br /> 6.- 55 Public Comment - The Chairman recognized Norman Hayes, <br /> }SSC. Mr. Hayes explained he is in possession of an order o <br /> Conditions issued by the Conservation Commission which runs in <br /> perpetuity. In order~ to comply he is required to appear before <br /> the Commission and obtain -written authorization acknowledging the <br /> fact that ten thousand (10, 000) cubic yards of beach nourishment <br /> was not placed on the beach this year due to the fact that all <br /> required profiles had been met (Maushop village Nourishment) . <br /> Mr. Hayes further explained that the Woods Hole group were <br /> required to put down 10, 000 cubic yards for property access <br /> across Maushop beaches. Twenty-six hundred and fifty cubic yards <br /> of nourishment was put down in accordance with Cape Cod <br /> Commission Regulation in perpetuity. <br /> * <br /> Mr. Mayes requested a partial certificate o Compliance, if <br /> possble, as well as a written waiver. <br /> 1r. Sherman recommended approval, stating he had requested <br /> Mr. Hayes to be present in the event there were any questions. <br /> Elliot Rosenberg asked if Mr. Mayes had been responsible for I. <br /> any portion of the 10, ub, yards. he responded, nwe hadn' t <br /> had to put down twenty six fifty to meet the Cape Cod Commission <br /> order; had to do that every year no matter what, " "Last year we i <br /> put down over twelve thousand. " <br /> There being no further questions, the Chairman entertained <br /> motion. <br /> MOTION-. Elliot Rosenberg made a motion to accept the Report <br /> and issue the waiver; which Motion was seconded by John Johansen <br /> i <br />
