i <br /> i <br /> a <br /> Proposed Regulations for Ch. 173 — Conservation Lands <br /> §173-4 Prohibited Activities on Conservation Lands <br /> No activity as listed below) is allowed on Mashpee Conservation Land without a <br /> perrnit as voted at a public meeting of the Commission. <br /> For any person (persons)proposing or having initiated such activity or alteration, <br /> the Commission shall require a application, including the submission of written <br /> nfo -matron and/or plans d scn ing said activity and/or alteration. The Commission <br /> may generate and require the use of specific forms (including submittal requirements) <br /> -relative to said application and information and/or plans. Said written information <br /> and/or plans shall be of sufficient detail and completeness as deemed necessary by the <br /> Commission to evaluate the effects of the activity nd or alteration upon the <br /> environmental values of section 1 of Chapter 173 <br /> 1 Activity means any form of draining, dumping, dredging, damming, discharging, <br /> excavating, filling or grading; the excavation or removal ofsoil, sand, gravel or <br /> aggregate materials of any bind; the erection, reconstruction or expansion of any <br /> buildings or structures; the driving of pilings, the construction or improvement of <br /> roads and other ways; the changing of pre-existing drainage or run-off characteristics,, t <br /> flushing characteristics, sedimentation patterns, flow patterns, flood-retention <br /> characteristics and/or salinity distribution, the intercepting or diverging of ground <br /> and/or surface water; the placing of obstructions or objects in surface iter; the <br /> changing of water-levels or water table, the installation of drainage, sewage and water <br /> systems; the discharging of pollutants; the application of pesticides or herbicides; the <br /> overnight camping, sleeping, etc and/or the erection of tents, lean-to's and/or other <br /> temporary structures or shelters <br /> The following,activities areprohibited on Mashpee Conservation Lands: <br /> 0 Moton'zed vehicle usage (outside of public roads in Conservation lands) with <br /> the exception of emergency and municipal vehicles <br /> 0 ATV, Motor cross bike, Gators or any other type of all terrain vehicle usage is <br /> prohibited on lashpee Conservation fund <br /> 0 Possession and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages <br /> 0 No dumping of material any bind including, but not limited to, household <br /> trash, construction debris, landscape dcbris, fill, etc <br /> 0ischarg ing of firearms is prohibited except pursuant to lawful hunting under <br /> the Massachusetts and Federal Hunting Regulations <br /> 0 Vandalism of signs, kiosks, gates and any other appurtenances associated with <br /> 1lashpee Conservation Land <br /> 0 The removal, harassment, cutting or injury-of trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, <br /> groundcover and wildlife is prohibited <br /> 0 The use and/or creation of man-made fires, construction of fire rings, <br /> • fireplaces, etc is prohibited. <br /> i <br />
