This property carne <br /> before the Commission under the present owner approximately three years ago for a stairway <br /> proposed from the top of the coastal bank down to the edge of the salt marsh which was approved <br /> under DEP # SE 3-2473. Theyihave not been built yet but the new owners would like to install a <br /> boardwalk that would intercept the stairway and extend it to the mean high water line across the salt <br /> marsh. From there, it is proposed to have an aluminum ramp that would extend to an anchored float <br /> that will be close to the seaward edge of the salt marsh where the water depths are 2' at mean low <br /> water. The decking will be sufficient to allow light penetration at 70%. Agent McManus spoke with <br /> Eileen Feeney from Marine Fisheries who mentioned that'this area has been designated ACEs and <br /> that they have ar typical template of recommendations. According to Mr. Vaccaro, It is not low enough in <br /> the landscape to be considered a salt marsh as it is below the spring tide elevation. Mr. Vaccaro <br /> does say though-that there is enough wetland vegetation and hydric soils in the low part of the lawn <br /> 2 <br />
