' noun of ffiao4ver <br /> f BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> 477-1777 <br /> Mashpee, Mass.. ............................:..2....J.=.e........ 1978 <br /> In relation to the ;later Quality Management Plan/EIS for Cape <br /> Cod review the 3-lashpee B oard of Health makes the following <br /> recommendations to the Planning Board of 1':ashpee so that the <br /> aims of the program may be facilitated : <br /> A. Recommends to the Planning Board- the creation of a Well <br /> Field or source of Town Water Supply within the location <br /> of the Town Forest in Whitcombs Swamp. This area should be <br /> protected as a potential water supply source for the following: <br /> 1. The Town Hall Area <br /> 2. Route 130 area ( although a hook up with the Gntuit <br /> hater district of B arnstable might be betters, <br /> 3. Johns Pond homes on the South East perimeter of the <br /> pond <br /> 4. The United Church Village <br /> B. Recommends to the Planning Board the need for requiring of <br /> Developers of Condominiums the use of septic systems which <br /> would provide treatment of effluent before discharge to the <br /> ground. This treatment to be proposed and used where cluster <br /> zone is concentrating the density of population on a small <br /> portion of a larger area. <br /> C. The Board of Health strongly urges the Planning Board to <br /> increase the residential lot size to a minimum of one (1) <br /> acre. <br /> Mashpee Board of Health <br /> Charles F.
