Joseph Reardon. <br /> Mr. Reardon, "Mr. Chairman, in resp nse to your inquiries, I felt that it <br /> would be grey prudent to have all these people here, in order that we might,. <br /> go -further with, this hearing and for the benefit of tho' se' people who are here <br /> who were not present for the last -meeting (time) that we net to discuss this <br /> matter a statement was made or a suggestion was made-}that the sept-ic- system <br /> installed on Mr. Karch's property was located too close to M . Lumsden's <br /> property lino and because of its" location in proximity to Mr. msden <br /> property line liquid or effluence is flowing from Mr. arch's system into <br /> Mr. 'Lursdns l system and is therefore catling the failure of Mr. Lasdens' <br /> system, whish necessitated him updating to replace or repair his system, <br /> necessitating him to expend some fand,s,rMr. Lumsden formally complained 't o <br /> your Board and asked the Board to conduct an inquiry into the legality or <br /> the appropriateness of the inatallation of` e system on Mr. ar ch' pro- <br /> perty .anorr the people whom he hired to do it. That's the reason for being <br /> here tonight. Now, Mr. Lumsden here .I fairly stated in substance what your <br /> problem is. <br /> Mr, Lumsden comments that for the record, he did not repair his system he <br /> had 'to install a new system. <br /> Town Counsel, "I believe we found out the last ti "'we were here that this <br /> system was installed by Mr. Bose, is that correct? It was suggested Lt the <br /> last meeting that you felt that Mr. Pose informed you that in his opinion <br /> the' problem with your sy.Y stern was the new system on Mr. ar; h t s' pr#opoerty <br /> is that correct? He further stated' he did not dig <br /> it up because he .was told- it was filled up and a .new system was needed. <br /> T C asked Mr. Rose if he kh w if it were a cement box;. or metal box o <br /> what, or if he had a lead pit field or ghat. he had in the line of drain- <br /> age. <br /> Fred Rose said he did not tell Lumsden that his- system failed because of <br /> the- arch installation, rather Linen told Pose that fact. He said he <br /> did not -go on the other side of the face ( 1 tall Y_, he, Roseedid not <br /> know where the Kar_Lch.Kar-Lcsystern was. <br /> TC asked Mr. Andrade if he .did pumping for Lumsden, he repled one time. <br /> T C asked if he and any records here and he (Andrade) explained he does <br /> not own the Compare. He stated he had gone there and opened up the sys- <br /> tem and pumped it out and the fo llowing week it was f ll -'gain. <br /> T C asked if he (Andrade) knew what sort of system it was and Andrade an- <br /> swered it was ,just a a tank in the ground, a metal tank, old. fashioned, <br /> they don't install anymore, it had one pipe going to a leaching area and <br /> upon question by T C e thought the leaching area was over the fence on <br /> arch property.
