TOWN of MASHPEE ■ R BOARD of HEALTH i MEETING 4/18/85 . Meeting called to order at 6: 1.5 p.m. 1. Diss Jud-.ith Giorgio, currently employed part time by Brewster B as a.s'sistant, interviewed for second time by Board after an initial interview. She is at the time doing most of the field work, test holes. The Chairman was not in on the previous meetings due to his hospitalization. The Board decided to discuss the interview among themselves and then decided to have Ionie call Miss Giorgio on Thursday and ask if she was interested in starting May 6, 1985. 2. Warrants signed, . Motion made CFB to accept minutes of 4/8/85 meeting, second CHL. 4. Motion made by CFB to hire Miss Giorgio on six month trial basis eff. 5/6/85. 5. L tr. from DEE to O'Malley-Keyes, re: Fpps sat Bay. CFB noted that this area of theBay has never been in question and CFB wondered why the testing was done. . Lt'r. from DEE to Nye Plumbing re: Sea. Mist's installation of nine washing machines. Denied by DEE. . S.A. .B. notice of meeting 4/29/85. -NOTED CHL stated- that the ma.iii reason he had visited the office -earlier in the day was that he was getting these "Off the record" complaints, like Lapio, Horses, Septic Systems nobody seems to know about. CHL visited. the- area of the complaint and al- so talked with the Building Inspector; there are 10 to 12 horses in the barn, for breeding etc. The observation by the Chairman is that it is not a hobby but a business, and suggested that it be put on ars agenda for inspections for barns, at the time, and all buildings should be inspected. 9. Tom. Devane -requested an appointment for this meeting, never arrived nor cancelled, 10. Notice of conference on "Problem Maters and their Treatment", 5/15/85---' - NOTED. 11. Notice of- FDA Consumer Exchange, April 23, 1985., CFB would like to attend that meeting- with specific reference to bottled water from 'out of state' stating it was acceptable for persons on low sodium diets, without quoting Sodium count, 12. Request for vacation leave for Nonie. Agreed to by Board considering there i back-up person. CHL stated that he cannot say that the leave cannot be taken. 13. Mrs. Collins appeared before Board with venal plans to add, to the existing cottage and she said there is a cesspool probably twenty ffive, thirty years old and having had some trouble with the system. Plans call for adding four feet to rear and going up one level. Wm. Warwick had spotted some systems and suggested that she appear before the Board prior to his doing any further work.. Letter sent to Warwick telling him to go to 2' , Board will issue variance. 1 +. Copy of letter from Bldg Innp to DeDecko, Sea Mist. 15. Ltr. from Donna McCaffery not accepting Inspectors position.
