L Board of ,,Health <br /> t kMee�ing <br /> April 29 , 1985 <br /> Meeting called to order at p.m. <br /> Present: Charles H. Lawrence, Charles F. Buckingham, Health Agent <br /> Lre C. Anderson <br /> member absent: Roland L. Wilson (hospitalized) <br /> 1 . warrants signed. x <br /> 2 . CFB opened meeting as CHL hadn' t arrived, Nor. Buckingham stated <br /> that if there was riot a quorum by 7 : 00 ,m. , he would open bids for <br /> the Landfill. In addition, all matters on the agenda would be post- <br /> poned until next scheduled meeting. <br /> Nor. Lawrence arrived at .m. <br /> 4 . warrants signed. <br /> 5 . Minutes of previous (4/22/8-5) accepted as written, motion CFB, <br /> second by CHL. <br /> Office clock was deemed to be five minutes fast by CFB, Agent <br /> verified time with telephone operator, the clock was two minutes <br /> fast. VERIFICATION OF CORRECT TIME WAS NECESSARY DUE TO THE BID <br /> OPENING FOR LANDFILL, CLOSING OF SUBMITTING SAME WAS AT 7 : 00 p,m, <br /> 7 . Discussion was held re : Twon Accountant altering warrant after <br /> Board had signed same, this specific .instance was AT&TCSS, they <br /> had submitted a bill for $9 . 00 (quarterly payment for phone use, <br /> Town Accountant had crossed out the sum and entered $3 . 00 with a <br /> notation, 'Pay monthly only ' . It was recommended br CFB and CHL <br /> seconded motion that a memo should be seat to Accountant with a <br /> copy of same sent to Selectmen and Executive Secretary that this <br /> Board did not approve of any adjustments being made after they had <br /> indeed signed warrants for payment, furthermore, that either the <br /> Board should be consulted and/or personnel of the BH office prior <br /> to any change. <br /> S . CFB questioned when and if we had en't a donation- of $200 . 00- <br /> to the County as part of a fund to purchase water analysis equip- <br /> ment, This had been discussed previously and Nonie spoke to George <br /> Heufelder regarding same, and still we had no answer. ON TUESDAY, <br /> 4/30/55 NOME AGAIN CALLED COUNTY, STETSON HALL IS ON VACATION THE <br /> GIRL ON PHONE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT TO WHOM THIS MONEY SHOULD BE SENT, <br /> NONIE THEN LEFT MESSAGE FOR GEORGE HEUPELDFR TO CALL; UPON RETURN <br /> ING CALL GEORGE STILL DID NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION* <br /> 9 . DEQE letter to Chief Hartin re : razing (burning) of Channel_ <br /> Club on Saturday, May 12, 1985 NOTED <br /> 10 , Copies of letters sent to DEQE and Building Inspector, Boyd, <br /> read by members, sent under CHL signature. NOTED <br /> 11 .-, Copy of DEQE letter to Bldg Inspector Boyd re : Quashnet Valley <br /> Condomini z temporary f approval of grater supply wells . DEQE satis- <br /> fied that dei elop r- is in the process of providing suitable central- <br /> ized water supply, DBQE feels -that the wells can be used temporarily. <br />
