M <br /> BOARD of HEALTH <br /> MEETING <br /> JULY 81 1985 <br /> Meeting called to order 6 ; 25 p. . <br /> Members present: Roland L. Wilson, Charles H. Lawrence, Charles F . <br /> Buckingham. Health Agent Leonore . Anderson <br /> 1 . warrants signed. <br /> 2 . Discussion held regarding Landfill. Contract, Town Counsel agreed <br /> to accept $10 , 000 bond acid Town to become first lien holder on 1985 <br /> Ford, Model F50 pickup truck. <br /> Motion by CHL to accept minutes of 6/24/85 meeting, second RLw. <br /> 4 . Mr. Buckingham discussed with other Board members that he had <br /> gotten a request from Selectman, Terror and also a call from Rep. Thomas <br /> Cahir regarding witnessing percolation tests for a Mr. Hannon sooner <br /> than the scheduled date made by Hannon' s engineer of 8/6/85 . Larry <br /> Lawrence stated most vociferously that he would recommend that this <br /> task not be witnessed by Mr. Buckingham because he interpreted this <br /> to be a blatant act of 'political usage ' Mr. Wilson was in agreement <br /> with Mr. Lawrence and together- they rade a formal recommendation to <br /> - Mr. Bucl ingham that their ruling would be a definite NO to advancing <br /> a cyte that- had been accepted from three that was offerred to the <br /> engineer when he was in this office. M1 . TERRY So ADVISED OF THIS DE- <br /> CISION OF THIS BOARD. <br /> { <br /> 5 . -Memo from Town Accountant re : on site audit done of cash /checks <br /> on hand July 1, 1905 in this office, requesting that a deposit be made <br /> ending the fiscal year. The Board noted as the agent stated that this <br /> office is on a calendar year. <br /> . Motion made by Mr. Lawrence to meet every other week for the months <br /> July/August, Town Clerk to be advised that meeting nights will be July <br /> 22, August 5, 19 . Second of motion by Mr. Wilson. <br /> . Memo from Exec Sec re progress of complex that will house the <br /> Library/Church/Housing for Elderly. - NOTED <br /> . Memo from Exec Sec re purchasing of fuel for town vehicles . DOTED <br /> 9 . Discussion by Mr. Lawrence re Ashumet Ridge and the phone call re- <br /> ceived from Joseph DeCola of EPA, we are still awaiting permission from <br /> Stetson Hall to collect and have analyzed water samples from wells in <br /> the area of Tri-Town Cir and Horseshoe Bend way. SPOKE To STETSON WHEN <br /> HE WAS IN OFFICE ON TUESDAY 7/16/$5 , HE REQUESTED A WRITTEN REQUEST AND <br /> SAID IT WOULD HAVE To BE SCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE PERHAPS IN THE FALL,, <br /> DUE To SHORTAGE of PERSONNEL AND THE NEW LAB DIRECTOR HAS NOT STARTED <br /> IN HIS POSITION AS YET. <br /> 1.0 . Request for percolation extension at 96 Ships Anchor Dr, notion by <br /> CFB to extend, second CHL. Six month extension, new date Jan. ,. 1985 . <br /> 11 . S: Joseph DiMaggio, General Contractor, operator/contractor of <br /> Town Landfill and Holly Gaglio. appeared before the Hoard by request of <br /> contractor. He is requesting permission to demolish existing trailer <br /> at the site and utilize a trailer that has been given to him, however, <br /> in order to control flow of verification of stickers into dump he would <br /> be relocating the newer trailer. In addition, he discussed leveling <br /> off of mounds. BOARD WAS IN AGREEMENT To RECOMMENDATIONS * <br />
