The petition is for a request <br /> to do water analysis testing in that area. <br /> 8, It.''. was requested by the Board that B. Tallent read into the record -the <br /> interpretation of an informal meeting held at the Select ens' Office on <br /> Friday, may 2, 1986; those ih attendance, B. J. Thcmas, Willi JHanson,, Exec Sec <br /> Tarn Cahir, Mark Fouh r of Studds office, Stetson Hall and Dick'Witt. Efforts <br /> being made by Rep. Cahir to get water suppler to Briarwood, he had spoken to <br /> Gov. Dukakis and he (the Governor) has stated he would go to any lengths to <br /> obtain water; ' discussion on feasibility of Otis running-piping to a central <br /> location in Briarwood to service residents. It was decided that the offer <br /> of Dick Witt to run a-new line from Plum Hollow over to Currier Road as the <br /> f irst step -of Falmouths installation and. have a meter and faucet at j unction <br /> of Currier Hooppole for service'. All agreed that would be a solution of <br /> temporary nature until monies are appropriated for engineering and study <br /> of soling Briarwood.'s problems. <br /> . CFB reported that he, Selectman Thomas, Exec Sec and representative of <br /> Weston & Samson met with DBE on. Tues. May. 6, 1986 re: results of testing <br /> done at Lan .f it l abutting area. . .We ston and Samson presented an oral. 'scope <br /> for study' whish was approved tentatively pending a written presentation to <br /> the town. In line with this there-would .be a 'Paper search of our files for <br /> data on well depths, Norrie and Bob to work with WIS. Selectmen would be re- <br /> quested to simply help to B office during this search. <br /> Note: In line with above CSFB requested that Clerk send results of the <br /> analrs i s done by BCHD of both Briarwood and Landfill to- DEE who in turn gi l l <br /> forward to EPA for advice on usage of water by concerned persons, Fagan ad- <br /> vised those at the meting -that no reports were recentred from County. CFB <br /> suggested that Agent call Cty for estimate of when testing will begin at the <br /> Cotuit Corners area. <br /> 10, CSB covered points of meeting with Selectmen on the testing by the Tarn <br /> of wells in Briarwood, it was deckled that CFB would contact labs approved <br /> to do VOC testing for a price. Labs would return calls with info'o 5/8/86. <br /> Decision to made by Selectmen and monies to come from their Legal/Engineering <br /> go account. <br /> 11, It was noted that the latest analysis of well at-Fine/Police, taken by <br /> Dennis Scannell frcrn nearest-entrance faucet showed love PH (5.2) Iron . , <br /> however, no copper reading. CFB said that in speaking to Chief Frere the <br /> station does service more that 25 persons therefore, it must came under DE E. <br />
